Cancer including breast cancer comes in many shapes and sizes. Usually cancer can be diasgnosed as an overgrowth of cells which form a tumor. There are over 200 forms of cancer – breast cancer is just one of them. Cancerous tumors cause can health problems in 2 ways: 1. By putting pressure on vital organs, 2. by invading other body organs after breaking away.

The type of breast cancer treatment depends on a number of factors including the size of the tumor, the type of cancer and how far the cancer has progressed.  Breast cancer treatment consists of one or more of surgery, chemotherapy, hormone therapy or radiotherapy.

Breast cancer can be diagnosed after you undergo a mamogram. A mamogram can detect the cancer before a person can feel it. Mamograms are a great way of reducing the chances of having your breast cancer go undetected.
